This is a superb photo. I have childhood memories of Mam (Peggy) and Granny ( Ena MacLeman) talking for hours about Cromarty history and I remember these names. Bella Dhu and Pinda - I never knew them, but Granny did! Bella Dhu looks a beautiful lady and Pinda is handsome.

These are my great-great-grandparents. Andrew Bathie has also posted this picture. Andrew Finlayson's nickname seems to actually be "pinder" because when he was young, the pinder-orde circus came to town and he announced that he wanted to run away to join the circus.

I agree this is a great picture and it is a photo of my great-grandparents. They are a handsome couple. My grandfather, Hugh M Finlayson looked so much like his mother. I wish I had pictures of them when they were younger. I, like Ian, am so greatful to Andrew Bathie for giving me so much information about my ancestry. Ian you have done a fabulous job with your family tree.
