Hugh Miller's Grammar School

This is an oil painting from 1884 by John Muirhead that was presented by the artist to Hugh Millers grand-daughter Lydia Davidson. The former Grammar School is the white building on the left, which by the time of this picture had been replaced by the present school and purchased by my great great grandfather John Hossack b.1846.
