Second from left is Neil McBeath. George & Ronnie are back and front respectively extreme right. Can't recall the names of the other two in the back row, but I remember them. Guy in front, I've no idea! I'm sure someone else will fill in the blanks.

Added by HAZEL PENDLE (NEE MACLEAN) on 31 January 2006
I think you are right Hazel
Added by Nora Watson on 31 January 2006
Hi Hazel! Nope, it can't be Billy, he would have been too young then. God! Ronnie and Toi were only kids themselves!
Added by Jackie Bain on 01 February 2006
Hi Jackie yes you must be right!! as Ronnie and George are same age as me!! Unless offcoarse Billy looks Mature in the picture!!!! Love this website I check it most days just to see what pictures come up what memories they bring back.
Added by Hazel Pendle (nee MACLEAN ) on 01 February 2006
The boy kneeling at the front is Raymond Robertson I`m sure Jackie will remember him .
Added by Iris Winton on 01 February 2006
Hi Iris!! Can't say I do remember a Raymond Robertson, but I'm sure you'll be right enough. The tall guy between Neil and George is really bugging me though! I know I know who he is, but there's no name coming to mind!!
Yes Hazel, I check the site a lot too. Nice to see comments from old friends and acquaintances as well as the pics.
Added by Jackie Bain on 02 February 2006
Hi Jackie I will try to jog your memory, Raymond is the son of Donnie and Mina, he has a brother Donnie and a sister Dorothy. I think he was better known as Nother. I will try and get the other names from Ronnie if he can remember them.
Added by Iris Winton on 02 February 2006
Thanks for trying Iris, but I have absolutely no recollection of that guy at all! I think it's because they're all older, and some people came and went in a very short timeframe back then. The tall guy with the black hair is really annoying me tho'. I just can't put a name to him!!
Hazel - I think you must be mistaken about your age!!!! I'm older than you, but Ronnie and George are older than me, so you can't possibly be the same age as both of them??
Added by Jackie Bain on 03 February 2006
the big lad at the back i think was called gordon shaw he used to come here for his summer hols i'm quite sure he also did disco's in the victoria hall he was friendly with kenny howse
Added by Kenny Macfarlane on 03 February 2006
Well done Kenny! That's the man. He used to go out with Elaine Howse too. Any idea who the guy on the left is?
Added by Jackie Bain on 03 February 2006
Hi Jackie no I dont think im mistaken with my age!!!! Ronnie and George were in my class at Fortrose.I know you are a bit older than me so they must be younger than you!!!! So back to the picture I dont recognise the tall guy with all the hair!!! either. And Kenny we didnt have DISCOS when we were that age !!!!!!!!!

Thanks Iris, I remember Adam. He once fell in the harbour from the greasy pole at the regatta, knowing he couldn't swim, Ruth Newell had to jump in and save him!! Say hi and thanks to Ronnie for me.

Iris, was Raymond Robertsons nick name not Plum, lived in Allen Square, or is age catching up with me as well?
Anonymous comment added on 28 February 2006
Raymond was not known as Plum, was that Dennis Morrison? All much younger than me but I think that was Plum. As for the age of Ronnie and George well they are over the big 50 let`s say and I should know!
Added by Iris Winton on 28 February 2006
You're right Iris, Dennis Morrison's nick name was Plum.
Added by Margaret Cassie (Clelland) on 01 March 2006
I must look out a pic with Plum in it. Taken outside the school in the early sixties and put it in.
Added by Pat Swanson on 05 March 2006
No Jackie, Plum was Dennis Morrison I`m sure of that.Ronnie and George are in their 50s so I think Hazel is much younger than that?Raymond lived in the house just down from the old coal store do you remember that?Maybe you`re too young to remember as it was used for this purpose some time ago
Added by Iris W on 26 March 2006
The tall guy is definitely Gordon Shaw! He along with two of his mates ran some discos in the Victoria Hall c 1971(ish)
Added by Kenny Howse on 30 December 2010
Front left is my brother Raymond Robertson. This must be earlier than 1968 as we left Cromarty in 1964.
Added by Dorothy Ewen on 31 December 2010
George and ronnie were 11 in 1964-they look a wee bit older than that-
Added by Sue florence on 03 January 2011
I was wrong Sue. We left beginning of `65 if that makes any difference.
Added by Dorothy Ewen on 06 January 2011
Hi Sue, looking at picture again I thought it looked like Billy but could that be Ewan Garret? And to add I am 58! Same age as Ronnie and George give or take few months. Sue you must be around that yourself, we were all in same Class! And Ewan was older!
Added by Hazel Pendle (nee Maclean ) on 08 January 2011
Hazel, if you are 58 what makes you think, (as you stated earlier) that I am older than you? I am 54, and I'm pretty sure you are younger than me, so there's something wrong somewhere lol!!
Added by Jackie Bain on 08 January 2011
Hi Hazel, that's not Ewan he's a couple of years older than us,must say it does look like tipper though but he would have been in the pram when photo taken.
Added by Sue florence on 08 January 2011
Sorry Hazel it ain't Billy he was only 5 in that year.
Added by Flora Thomson on 11 January 2011
Jackie my apoligies I am definately 58 !!!!! Thought you were older sorry. Well stumped now with this picture. Can't you or Sue show it to Ronnie or George? Surely they would remember! Or has the memory started to go LOL (do they both still live in Cromarty?)
