It was nice to see Jim Ewing on this picture. I first knew the family in 1950 when they lived in Glasgow. A friend of mine was at school with their son John Ewing. On 22 June 1962 we were married by Jim Ewing in the East Church. I was told it was one of the last marriages held there. The night before we were married I stayed at the Royal Hotel, and my wife to be at the manse. I think by the time your photo was taken Susan Ewing sadly had died. We kept up with Jim when he moved to Berwick. I perhaps should look out the photos taken of us outside the East church as both Jim and Susan are on them.
