Very interesting to see how much erosion there has been since then along the front of Burnside Cottage and Clunes/Daffodil Field. The collapse of Reids Park and the path in front of Clunes House in 2012 and more recently are all signs of sea level rise. At the Daffodil Field there are large pebbles and undercutting into the boulder clay about a metre and a half higher than normal spring tides from the rough weather in early March. Sea level rise of 6-8mm/year will begin to have a serious effect on Shore Street in times of storms. Comment left on 09 April 2016 at 22:40 by Chris
