According to Eric Malcolm's book 'The Cromarty We Knew', this was the Church Army hut. Anybody know anything about the Church army?

Sounds like a good book - any idea where I could buy a copy?

Cromarty Courthouse Museum should still have a few copies. Check their website if you are not locally based. And yes - it is a good book!

This side of the West Church shows the excavations for the railway station. It was used by the council as a refuse tip during the 1950s. It is now the children's play area. I remember Derek Matheson shooting rats there.
