I'm sure this has to be earlier than 1950, nora. He was married to Jean in 1950. He looks younger in this photo

Correction - I think Dod and Jean married in 1949.
Happy Birthday tomorrow to Cousin Carol. Thinking of her as I heard that Calum Kennedy has died and Granny 'Cleman used to sing "Lovely Stornoway" to us when we slept with her. What a wonderful Granny she was.
Nora - please please please get Aunt Jean get set up with email! I'll talk to her every day!
Thank you for posting the photo of Mam. That was very sweet.
Aye yours,
Margaret

Margaret ..a nice one of Dod ...I remember him well ...
Yes Calum will be sadly missed, not only by everyone in Scotland ...but all us ex-pats living in far off places !! Like the USA and Australia.
I listened to a beautiful Two Hour Radio tribute to Calum this morning on the Internet, by my Favourite Radio Station in Canada .. Bluewater Radio .. ...it was great ...and brought back great memories of Visiting Calum backstage at the Empire in Inverness !

Hello John:
I have Calum's autograph. My Dad worked at Baxters in Fochabers and asked Calum to sign a paper hat for me when he visted the factory. I wonder how much it would be worth on ebay? I have no idea what to do with it, but it seems that to many people, Calum is bigger than Elvis:-)

Aye yours,

Margaret
