Pottery Workshop - pantiles going back on roof

Date Added: 14 July 2006 Contributor: Colin Dunn Year: 2006 Picture No: 1692

This shows the progress being made on re-roofing the pottery building. The red pantiles are a mixture of those originally used on the roof for the last 150 years, and reclaimed ones from an old barn at Corntown. Looking good so far.

Thank you for showing how to reclaim the old roof.

We Japanese also use such kind of roof still now in some place. We call them KAWARA YANE.

They are a little heavy for an earthquake country here in Japan. But people help each other when they
remake it. It was a interesting picture, thank you.
