Meg,
Have you had any success is discovering when your great grandfather Puffer Finlayson (see picture #1121) passed away and where he was laid to rest?
I am curious, in your August 2006 posting you said in your comments regarding the East Church that you sat in his pew, do the pews have name plates on them?
Is it possible that there is a listing of East Church pew holders? Comment left on 11 May 2007 at 20:10 by James Barr - Buffalo, New York

No James, I still don't know when he died or where his grave is. Maybe there is no headstone. I don't get enough time to work on my family tree as I am still working. I only know it was Puffer's family pew as one of the local people told me. The older people were so helpful with their information. I don't know if there is a list of family pews.

Puffer Finlayson was my Great Grandfather and I sat in his pew, when I visited 2 years ago. Comment left on 23 August 2006 at 18:42 by Meg Austin ( Finlayson )
