What a sad day - there was a lot of happy memories in that all for a lot of locals old and new. Comment left on 24 October 2006 at 13:23 by Anon
It's very unfortunate that all the demolition rubbish from the Royal was dumped on the beach and will disfigure it for the next 50 years. Comment left on 02 March 2007 at 19:52 by Anon
There is no need to dump anything a beach. Especilly the beach here it is lovley place to go and those who did this should be ashmaed of themselves, it's not very good PR for the hotel either. Comment left on 04 March 2007 at 08:33 by Anonymous
Dumping on the beach is illegal and the Royal should be made to remove it or be prosecuted. Comment left on 04 March 2007 at 16:26 by Anon
The land, along with the now demolished function room, was was sold by the Royal to the developer, and so has nothing to do with us now.

The Boat Club agreed to some of the stonework being used to shore up the sea defences at the back of their compound, which may be what the anonymous comments have been about. I'm not aware of anything being dumped other than this, and of course we too would be very concerned as it would affect our business.

Editor's Note The Cromarty Image Library is a great place for discussion about topics such as this, but it's not acceptable to make anonymous allegations about people or businesses. I have deleted a couple of comments which did this, and will only publish other comments on this page if they have names I can confirm. Comment left on 05 March 2007 at 13:41 by Garve
