A fisherman carries a net onto the parapet wall. One of Albert Watson's boats can be seen with a couple of vans on the harbour.

The firth itself is unusually empty.

I would date the postcard/photo around 1954, 'cos that's our Austin lorry receiving 'goods' from the derrick. The little Ford van was Matheson's runabout at that time. The man carrying the net on his shoulder is the late Tommy Scammie, by the angle of his bonnet!! Comment left on 15 April 2007 at 14:50 by Clem Watson
