I'm certainly not the only person who remembers the daffodil field as it used to be. What a shame the daffies have been smothered!
As a matter of interest, who owns the Daffodil field?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder;I have seen it looking worse. The daffodils still flower as the Willow Herb doesn't really wake up until they are finished. I believe it is still owned by Major Phipps;that is who I leased it from and who had the wall repaired a few years ago.I may be wrong but I believe he is a relative of the Ross family who sold the estate to the Nightingales. Andrew Smith harrowed it for me when I was planning to keep a pony in there but the underlying ground cover is brambles which simply enjoyed the trim they got!
