Margaret says: "I found this letter in my late Mother, Peggy Cowie's (nee McLeman) effects. Her first husband, Robert Watson, was killed during WW11. His name is on the Cromarty war memorial."

The letter says:-

Royal Naval Barracks
Portsmouth
9th September 1946

"Dear Madam, With reference to my previous communications concerning the sad death of your husband, Robert Watson, Stoker First Class, P/KX 84418, I have now received photographs of his grave, which I enclose. Details of the cemetery and grave location appear on the back of the prints. Assuring you of my deep sympathy in your sad loss. Yours sincerely, signature for COMMODORE"
