Fishertown sea-break - before the rocks

Date Added: 01 October 2007 Contributor: Colin Dunn Year: 1980 Picture No: 2011

This shows the sea-break in Cromarty Fishertowm before the huge boulders were added to hold back the winter storms. Just below the wall are the remnants of some of the old wooden boat mooring piles that used to be seen all along the top of the beach.

I spent many a time playing on the beach with my friends. My Uncle Danny Hossack lived at 39 Gordons Lane he had his dog Spot who he loved to walk round the town with. They used to stop at the happy corner getting the gossip and putting the world to rights. Comment left on 26 April 2008 at 22:26 by Dorothy Shepherd
