Maggie says "Taken around 1930 outside "Calrossie", 4 Barkly Street, Cromarty. Brothers, Donald Alexander Mackenzie (author & poet) 1873-1936, William Mackay Mackenzie (Historian, Archaeologist & Author & called "Cromarty's History Man")1872-1952 and George Mackenzie, Newspaper Editor, 1881-1950.

Their father was Alexander Holm Mackenzie, Cromarty Registrar, Sheriff-Clerk Depute, Clerk to School Board & Burgh Assessor 1846-1915."

On seeing ths photograph, I find a great family likeness to the late Dr.Norman Mackenzie. Was he a nephew of Donald Alexander Mackenzie? For Cromarty interest, William Mackay Mackenzie's funeral was the first I ever attended in 1952.

Dr Norman Mackenzie was the son of Donald Alexander Mackenzie, (my grandfather). There is another photo shown outside the Royal Hotel of my g/uncle William Mackay Mackenzie that I have sent in for your information. Thank you. Maggie
