Fishertown seafront without boulder sea-break

Fishertown seafront without boulder sea-break

This shows the sea wall before it was increased to reduce winter flooding. We used to run across the road and jump straight onto the beach - there was more sand at the time. In the 1980s the sea-break was then reinforced with huge granite boulders. An effective way of resisiting the winter storms, but it was a pity to lose the beach top.

Cracking jersey too.
