A retrospective exhibition of artists in and around Cromarty. On from 21st March for 10 days at Cromarty Courthouse. Includes works by Charles Bannerman, Sandy Hardie, Alison and Alastair Dunn, Simon and Jenny Gunn, and many others.

How about including details of location, opening times etc for us folk who might like to visit this?

Rona the exhibition is in the Cromarty Courthouse Church St. Opening hours 10am -5pm 7 days a week. The Trustees are very grateful to members of the Community for allowing us to borrow their precious works of art.

Behind Closed Doors exhibition finishes on Sunday 30th, try not to miss it

There is also another fantastic exhibition on at present subject The Abolition of Slavery the art work John MacNaught with research and text by Dr David Alston this will run for the next few weeks.

The small picture on the top right is a watercolour by John Muirhead who was quite active at the turn of the century I think. There are several of his watercolours in our family on both sides of the Atlantic. My cousin inherited his picture of the last Zulu boats, one of which was owned by my great-grandfather. I went to Cromarty today to see the From Behind Closed Doors Exhibition and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thanks to all the 'lenders' and to Anne Short for organising it.

My only moan is that there were no paintings of Cromarty to buy.
