Cynthia says: "This is an old photo from when I lived in Cromarty as a child with my grandmother, Mrs Jessie Hossack, living in Rowan Cottage in 1953. I am far left, front row, my name was Cynthia Stewart then, have since married with 2 children and am now known as Cynthia Whyman, living in Barry, South Wales. Do you recognise yourself or anyone in this photo, would be great to put some names to faces."

Think this is later than 1953. Perhaps 1955-56.
Compare with No.73.

I think Mrs Jessie Hossack may have been the wife of my father's (Samuel Hossack) Uncle Alex who I remember visiting in Rowan Cottage.

John do you remember the days just after the war when our Mothers would take us for a walk along to the "New Harbour" for a breath of fresh air as they would say. On the way home it was usually into Mrs Kelly"s shop for tea. Years later still well under age I tried to buy a 1/2 bottle from your Grandmother at the "Control". I don"t need to tell you how that ended. All the best. Comment left on 01 July 2010 at 22:15 by Alex Grant

The girl next to Diane Couper is, I think, Moira Hendry and I think that is Kenneth Macaulay on the extreme left in the middle row. I should know all of these people but I am not 100% sure. I think Margaret McIntosh is fourth from the right in the front row. Comment left on 31 August 2010 at 23:13 by Hazel Clark
