Hi Freda, I've never seen this photo, we probably couldn't afford it, but I do remember us using slates to write on with a slate pencil. This was in Miss McKenzie's class, the slate dropped into a slot on the desk, we had to bring a little bottle of water to clean the slate. Sounds almost Victorian doesn't it? Happy days.

Hello Freda. How are you? Thanks for posting this photo and just like Bertie I never knew it existed but it"s nice to remember our early school days. Can"t help with the missing names either although I can remember them in class. Best wishes.
