South Sutor Boat

Date Added: 07 September 2010 Contributor: Arthur Bird Year: 1965 Picture No: 2768

Picture Taken 1965 - For Ronald and the Harbour Master's Office gang. This is the boat you keep asking me about. She was my father's successor to Eilan Dubh shown in picture #327. She is a Haven class motor sailer, 32' OWL, clinker built, gaff rig with a Perkins 4107M auxiliary engine. Built in Peterborough she was trucked up to Muirton basin and sailed around to Cromarty. On the return journey she lost her prop and was ebbed at Avoch for repairs. Ronald and crew, there you have it.
