Eric, Thanks for this photograph. Miss Mackenzie 'Whitebog' had lost her 1930's hat by the time she first used 'the strap' on me, in December 1940. For what you may ask? For being rowdy, instead of attending to lessons in the Air-raid shelter! The one you helped to build below the school.
