Is Marco Polo a cruise ship if so its a wee one Comment left on 05 September 2011 at 21:37 by Mary Mackay now Tomlinson Harrison
This ship has great memories for me ....It entered service in 1965 - 1991 as the Alexander Pushkin ....then throughout the years cruised worldwide..I was lucky to work it as an entertainer when it was based in Australia for CTC Lines cruising from Sydney .. later in years, it was then re-named Marco Polo and refurbished many times, first by Orient Lines 1991 - 2008 and is now under the banner of Transocean Tours, and has been cruising Worldwide for many years. Nice to see it sailing past Cromarty! Comment left on 11 September 2011 at 02:53 by John Macdonald

Yes remember it well Mary (1957) Last year at school and we were allowed out on the Links to see the Britannia sail up to Invergordon for the Fleet Review. I remember at the week-end Albert took us on the Enterprise to visit H.M.S. Ocean..the only ship open to the public because of the security surrounding the Britannia.
