Date Added: 19 October 2011 Contributor: Warren Young Year: 2011 Picture No: 3040

135 mile cycle from Aberdeen to Cromarty
10 mile kayak from cromarty up to invergordon boat club hugging the coast all the way round.
28 mile speed march with 45lb backpack back to Cromarty

All this was to raise money for the 'Help For Heroes' charity and was competed on the 5th June in 19 hours

Big thanks to my wife Jodie for being the support driver meeting me at several points along the way to top up my water and get some food down me.

I was also joined on the Kayak by my good friend Robbie and then on the speed march by another good friend Tony.

I would also like to thank all those who had sponsored me from Cromarty and a big thanks to Janet Mclennon and my Dad for collecting the sponsors. I raised a total of £4640.00 which is going to a great cause.

now warren i am a bit upset that you forgot to mention the man who pounded the road with you for all those months to get you into shape for this challenge, your personal trainer and brother ronald. A true hero. By the way is that his trousers you have on, his are missing. Comment left on 23 October 2011 at 18:39 by Dougie Shepherd

The really amazing thing about this is: after finishing the trek with 5 hours to spare, Warren used the extra time to catch up on his hoovering, cleaning his car, polishing his shoes and seperating his pasta twists and shells into seperate tubs! What a man! Comment left on 26 October 2011 at 20:24 by Greig Thomson
