Dorothy Watt was my grandpa's sister! Mrs Watt was their mother. Please could you tell me any more about this photograph?

My mother, front left, and Dorothy Watt were both part of a group of friends. My mother, herself an accomplished singer, always said that Dorothy was an excellent singer. High praise! The group of friends played tennis together and went for Sunday walks to Charlie's Seat, a promontory on the South Sutor.
If you put "Fyfe" into this site's search box, you will find a concert programme in which Dorothy and my mother were both soloists!

Thank you very much, Ruth; that's fascinating! I know she was a beautiful singer and at one time was asked to go to Italy to work more on her voice. I have found some mentions of her in the local newspapers regarding concerts and theatrical gatherings. If you have any more information, I would love to know. Did your mother know Dorothy's husband, Sandy Reid? Also, a cousin by marriage, Jean Sinclair? I will have a look at the concert programme. Many thanks again, Ali

I'm sorry I can't tell you any more about Dorothy, and I don't remember my mother ever talking about the others you mention. However, I do, somewhere, have a photo of her and my mother together, and when I find it I'll put it on this site. Good luck with your researches! Can somebody please tell me exactly what Rosenberg was? Cromarty had a women's Institute in 1927, could this have been a SWRI outing at the time?
