Salmon Fishing
I remember the salmon fishing nets at the back of the Sutor. It was only the elite who got out to them. We were kept on the sweep nets either on Nigg beach or in front of the bothy. Hamish Stuart was the boss then & Jakey Tar the chief coble or sledge driver. We used to make good money at 15 years old. those were the days.

These nets were set at The Hole which was slightly west of Macfarquer's bed. I worked here many times.
