Two shots taken from the top of the Allerton Farm road, looking down at the steading and farmhouse. In the earlier shot, the road is not tarred, the fir trees in the later picture are not visible and the farmhouse on the left of each picture looks like sandstone in one, and whitewashed in the other.

i was born in the cottage to the left in 1945. i have very happy memories of Allerton with my Grandparents, they later moved along the road to the other house, my God-mother was Gretta Watson.
