During Regatta day each year, the lifeboat would take people for trips around the firth.

The three men standing at the stem L to R, are Eddie Scott, Campbell Ross (holding bow rope) and Bill Brewster. Ready to jump with stern rope is myself.

The trip in the lifeboat was one of my regatta highlights. I remember there was a silver collection for admission and we used silver threepences so we could have 2 rides for our sixpence!
