The man in the centre is very like Peter Thompson, he was skipper of one of these boats, I can't remember Peter's boats name but one of them was called the "Bumble". Comment left on 26 January 2004 by Ian Jack
Remember my dad, William Gordon Grieve, on the bumble, used to pull the regatta boats around the harbour, a telegram arrived for him and I remember taking it down to the harbour and with the heavy rain on the wood falling in between the jetty and the boat, they got me on board in one piece but I lost the telegram. Got my tonsils out in the Cottage hospital about 1949.
