Painting from Hugh Miller's Monument - c1910

Ruth MacGregor sent us this scan - it's a painting of the view from the foot of Hugh Miller's monument. She doesn't know when or by whom it was painted. We thought it was painted from a photograph you can see on picture #89, but there are a few significant differences.

This area is all overgrown with trees now, and the view is not visible, so it must have been some time ago.
