I worked as a scaffolder on the Conoco TLP. It was one of the most interesting jobs I have ever had. I live in Mexico now and recently I met a Turkish chap that I had met on that very rig. Nice pic by the way.

The deck area, between the cranes at the bow and the accommodation at the rear was the size of three football pitches, with crawler cranes driving about it. The accommodation had a swimming pool and two lifts in it. At the time I was on it, there were a lot of Singaporean welders as well as the Italian crew. There were two completely separate galleys, one serving Italian food, and one Indonesian.
