I was wondering if this man in the picture john maclean may be a relative of mine.

my family of macleans' came from nairn during the 1800's and 1900's. Gt grandfather alexander maclean had a carpentry nd building business

There are photographs of the gravestones of both Captain John MacLean and his father Murdoch MacLean at www.rosscromartyroots.co.uk. Both stones are in the graveyard of the Gaelic Chapel at Cromarty.
