Hello Patrick:
I am originally from Buckie. I spent my summer holidays with my Cromarty Granny, Ena McLeman. I have lived in Berkeley, California, for 27 yrs. I keep in touch with my Aunt and Uncle, Jean and Dod McLeman and cousins, Carol, George and Jacqueline.

Just same - Margaret I spent holidays with Evan (the Post) & Ena Ferguson. I remember you from then. I was known by Patrick then. Comment left on 14 January 2005 at 16:49 by Pat Swanson
I believe I am first on the left on the front row and my sister Katherine Douglas is fifth from the left on the same row. We had long hair, always worn in plaits, and I wore the kilt. We lived about three miles out on the Old Evanton Road. Comment left on 20 March 2005 at 21:17 by Helen Douglas now Hillberg
Hi - I think third from the left at the bottom is my sister Sandra Mackay (now Taylor)

I'm in the 1961 photo - picture #479.

The large girl with the sailor suit in the middle of the middle row I think is Eva Dwinger whose parents worked at Newton. Comment left on 27 March 2008 at 08:50 by [email protected]

I'll have a guess at a few of them. Back row: 3rd. from L, George Watson. 3rd. from R, John Doull. Last on R, Richard MacPhee. Middle row: 2nd. from L, Arnold Eastwood's younger brother. 3rd. from L, Dennis Morrison. 5th. from L, Ingrid Shepherd. Comment left on 29 March 2008 at 16:19 by Christopher Hart
Arnold Eastwood's brother was Ronald. Comment left on 31 March 2008 at 10:54 by Dorothy Ewen (Robertson)
Hi Dorothy I remember you too however I'm 4th from the right back row, sadly Denis Morrison passed away a few years back. Comment left on 02 May 2008 at 16:07 by Ronald Eastwood
Second row fourth from right looks like Rhona Cameron (daughter of Bank Manager). Comment left on 03 May 2008 at 00:38 by Anonymous
Sorry, Ronald. Think that face belongs to someone who also lived in the houses opposite the bottom of the Denny. Sad to hear about Denis. Often wondered where in the world he'd got to. Comment left on 04 May 2008 at 16:18 by Christopher Hart
Sorry Christopher, but Ronald is right, he is 4th from the right back row. Why I'm so sure is because I went to school with him and he is also my cousin. Happy days Ronald when all we had to worry about was getting to school before the bell rang. How's life in Edinburgh? Give my love to all the family. Christopher, hope we will see you again in Cromarty it was nice meeting you last year with George, I was telling my brother John that I had met you. Comment left on 05 May 2008 at 19:08 by Margaret Cassie ( Clelland )
Hi Margaret. Nice to hear from you. Give my regards to John. Maybe it's my grammar that's to blame, I'm sorry for causing confusion now. I understood after the correction from Ronald, that he was actually there, but fourth from right on the back row. I was rambling on about the boy, second from the right, middle, that I had at first thought to be an Eastwood. I think that whoever he was, he was a friend of Denis, and lived as did the Eastwoods, in the same area. Look forwards to another visit to Cromarty.
