I and my two sisters May and Joan and my brother John spent several very happy summer holidays in Cromarty with my Auntie Jessie and Uncle George Shepherd before they moved down to Paisley. I visited again in my early teens. I have lovely memories of Cromarty. The last time I visited was for the silver Wedding of my cousins Andy and Jean Young. I'm pretty sure it's Highland 1. I worked on it from Nov 73 - May 74. I was the youngest worker on the site - 18 years and two weeks when I started. Most depressing place I ever worked. Comment left on 01 July 2005 at 06:46 by G W
Just glancing through the site and came across this comment, I don't know if this fella has read any of my comments on other pages? but I don't know what company he kept but he should have been in mine, we would go into Tain in the evenings, Inverness on the Weekends and Aviemore on the long weekends, no wonder I came home skint, I had plans of becoming rich young man (20 at the time) girls everywhere.
