This is a postcard published by Macpherson Brothers of Invergordon. It shows the West Church before the fire which led to the changes in the structure at the front. The southernmost Factory building which was knocked down to build the houses at the north of Allen Square can be seen.

Pre 1908 I think not! Where did you get that idea! colour photography before ww2? i think not.

I think this photo has been tinted after the event, rather like the horrible 'colorized' versions of old black and white films. Not uncommon with postcards of the period. Comment left on 21 May 2008 at 17:17 by Colin
