This is my grandfather (not biological). He moved to Australia and married my grandmother. They lived in Canberra and he was a wonderful man. He died 8/1/2010. Comment left on 09 February 2011 at 08:56 by Jillian Cox
Donald Hogg was my great uncle, he was born in Cromarty, he was married to Robertina Gordon (Ruby) for 50 years. They lived in Inverness. He died on the 29th January 2002 - they are both buried in Cromarty.

His mother did die when he was young, Brockie was the family bye name. He joined the navy seeing lots of action during the Second World War, was awarded the DSM and ended his naval career on the Royal Yacht Britannia as a chief petty officer He also received the Royal Victorian medal for services to the monarch.
