Sorry Calum this ain't the pilot boat - it's "Lion" owened by John Ross, the car dealer from Kildary. A regular visitor to Cromarty harbour. The Cromarty Firth pilot boat has an orange topside and is called "Elma G" Comment left on 12 January 2005 at 17:34 by Ronald Young
John's boat still carries the Pilot sign on her though. Comment left on 12 January 2005 at 23:42 by Pat Swanson
You're right Ronald - my mistake, I should know better, as I've seen her enough times........ Comment left on 13 January 2005 at 22:22 by Calum Davidson
I think she used to be the pilot boat for the Firth of Forth or the Firth of Tay as he owned both their old boats at one time. The other was called "TIGER". Comment left on 16 January 2005 at 21:16 by Ronald Young
I've taken "Pilot Boat" out of the Title. I'll know next time ...... Comment left on 18 January 2005 at 21:40 by Calum Davidson
Hi Ronald, it was one of the Pilot boats for Forth Port Authority and was based at Leith.
