So nice to see a pic of mu granda on his own, all the ones I have ever seen are always at weddings and stuff! Also glad I can now say that my double chin is unmistakably inherited and nout to do with too many pies! ;o)

What an excellent photo. Jock was an exceptionally hard worker, and also quite a good cook!
Forget the Egon Ronay stuff, his Scotch Broth, made with good fresh vegatables, good fresh beef, crystal clear water drawn from the well at 'the back of the hill', bile't for an 'oor' an' a bitty, served in an e-coli free soup plate, and a lump of loaf!!
