All the stonework has been restored, along with the Chimneys. Next stage the extension and a new roof.

Barklay? Barkley? Gilbert's spelling was BARKLY according to British Linen Company records.
however in the mid 1700's many spelt phonetically anyway. Barkly Street name plate, have a
look!

Typo on my part Clem - I've changed it to Barklay, which seems to the one most accepted these days.

The object on the left is a seagull, and on the right Mary and Dave Ross's TV arial.

tabling at the wallhead. I remember the house prior to the fire, as it was on my daily
route to school. I also remember some smaller cottages within the garden wall, are they
