I lived at No.5 Davidson ;- it's the bungalow in the centre of the photo where its garden ends at the ploughed fields edge. It was a very large home, coal fires in all rooms except the kitchen and bathroom, and I remember quite distinctly in the winter of 1977 a roaring fire was in the front room but the window opposite was completly frosted over, not that the window was far away from the fire, but because it was so flippin' cold. We were without electricity for 4 days, my wife Mary was with child and Dr. Hendry walked from Cromarty to Davidson to check she was o.k. Comment left on 08 October 2007 at 15:41 by William Showell
