On 25th Oct 2006 flooding occurred out at Newhall Smiddy. This picture shows resulting damage to the road between the Smiddy and Newhall.

I was surprised to hear about the flooding at the Smiddy I lived at Newhall Mains and walked that road many A time and used to swing on a rope across the burn going under the Smiddy Bridge, Think it was 1967 or 1968 remember bad flooding at Conon Bridge!!
