I also worked for about 8 months on the Ninian Northern, a massive jacket. On the night of its launch the Teflon slipway failed and all the welders had to come back on shift to put reinforcement on it in the slipway as all the main supports had been taken out to get it to move. The skids were red hot. A massive bulldozer brought out shoving to to keep it moving. Nigel was another foreman of mine we worked in the dock and the fab shop.
