hi! although a few years ago now (!) i'm very interested in the details of this splendid feat. my wife and i visited her parents (longstanding alness residents) and went for a swim down at kiltearn. we speculated and then got very excited by the idea of swimming all the way across. 1-2km would be within our grasp. obviously there are many variables - temp, tide, wind, current, support boat? etc - but the first questions that occurred were, where from and where to exactly? i wonder if you can recall or have any handy recollections. many thanks!
