The Dr before Dr Forth was called Dr Gillanders. He lived in the house next door to the Cromarty Arms with his wife. I would be delighted to see an image of Don Pottinger's mural in the Apperitif - not least because my sister was the mermaid! I'm also keen to know the addre Cannot be 1945 as I was born Dec. 1948!! Guess I look about 3 years old so 1951/52. I have never seen the photo before so delighted to see it. Pauline & I are s This is either Jim or Jack Young in the flat cap, uncle of my father George Young. By the time we arrived in Cromarty Dr Forth's surgery was at the back of Paye House, but I believe before that it was in the Red House beside the Cromarty Arms/ I thought she lived in Paye House. Where is this? I have two pieces inherited from my granny, we used to do day trips from Inverness to Cromarty back in the days of the Kessock ferry, great memories! I have a 2 Thomas Stanton [Jordy] signed up for the fleet airarm just prior to the outbreak of the war and was posted to HMS Owl at some point during the war according to Bobby and Helen were among our favourite people during the 21 years we lived in Cromarty. Fortunately, I'm still in touch with Robert and Chrissy. Steffi we must be cousins! My Dad was Gerry's eldest brother. when Jeanette passed away I missed him by 15 minutes when I ordered flowers from Interflora, he wa Ah, happy to see photos of my Great Uncle Gerry as I reminisce and tell stories of him to some of his youngest relatives. Some of my earliest childhood memories Fond memories came up in conversation tonight of my Great Uncle Gerry, he will always make laugh! I recognise Eric Maciver and Iris Maclean since they were at Fortrose Academy in the dim and distant past when I was there . . . . and since then hardly any c Does anyone know the regiment Ernie Shepherd was in? Hi Margaret, David Manson McLeman was cousin to my grandmother, Catherine Hossack. Robina Watson was her third cousin. Robert McLeman & auntie Nellie lived in Aberdeen, they had one daughter Christine who married GlenThomson , I have lost touch with them. Thank you for that information, Andrew. An interesting family connection and useful to those researching their family tree here. I had forgotten I'd posted this photo. Interesting to see the interest it has generated. I don't think the folk in the photo have any connection to the Fabulous thanks Norma Bloice I have sent you a message on facebook. Can you check please. Davina
