At the left of the pcture, I see the "craftie." I remember when Mam and I came to Cromarty from Buckie. The journey on the bus took most of the day and involved changing busses at Elgin to Inverness and then Kessock Ferry. Then once across, the bus to Cromarty via Fortrose and Rosemarkie.
We came through Jemimaville and then Cromarty came into view and Uncles Davie and Hughie were running to meet the bus which let us off at the craftie.
And then what made the journey worth the trouble was Cromarty Granny!
Happy New Year to all!
