Shiona, a Google search gives the following meaning;
The girl's name Sheena is pronounced SHE-nah. It is of Irish origin. Variant of Jane (Hebrew) "the Lord is gracious" or Jean. Made popular by singer Sheena Easton.
Sheena has 8 variant forms: Sheenagh, Sheenah, Sheina, Shena, Shiona, Shionagh, Sina and Sine.

Mary, if you read the last part you'll see Shiona is one of 8 variants of the name. In other words it's as Marie is to Mary.
