The house on the right behind the lady is where my grandmother was born in 1906 one ELSE (BROCKIE) HOGG . The oldist daughter of William (Bobby) Hogg & Christina Hogg nee Watson. Comment left on 28 April 2004 at 13:24 by Alan Pike
I remember the Hogg family - they used to come to Jemimaville with fish and Jimmy used to be on the Coop van. Gordon used to come to my Granny to collect Insurance money. I would be happy to hear from Renee Hogg who used to try and keep me out of mischief. Comment left on 12 October 2004 at 19:14 by Mary Mackay now Harrison

My fathers grandparents lived at 70, Big Vennel since the early 1800s until until brothers George and Donald died and then their sister Annie Fraser (Watson) died in 1975. They were all fisher folk. My parents used to take me there to visit in the late 1940s/early 50s. Many memories. Comment left on 04 January 2021 by Min Walker
My late husband John Bremner grew up at 68 Big Vennel with his grandparents and his aunt Jean Bremner. I wondered what happened to the house. Comment left on 28 June 2024 at 19:50 by Doris Darby MBE
